I will be joining several members of Shortwave Collective at Pikselfest in Bergen, Norway where we will run two Open Wave Receiver workshops - one on Friday and one on Saturday
Over the course of 22 hours during Radio Art Zone, we will share our processes of making and listening. Listeners will be able to tune into Shortwave Collective engaged in collective and solitary listening experiences as we search for radio reception through Open Wave-Receivers and other devices such as VHF and VLF receivers, software-defined radio, walkie-talkies, and electromagnetic detectors from the locations in which we live and work.
At various times, and especially during ‘grey-line’ times of dusk and dawn, we will gather to transmit live from our listening posts in Graz, Austria; Mount Alaric, France; Crete, Greece; Berlin, Germany; London and Brighton, United Kingdom and Northern California, United States. The broadcast will be situated within the height of the 2022 Perseids meteor shower, as a way to reference the fleeting nature of radio phenomena and atmospheric conditions.
Premiere of a Bryony Dunne’s “Surrender Your Horns,” a docu-fiction artist film for which I composed music and worked on all aspects of sound design and surround mixing. Premiering July 7 at Galway Film Fleadh, Ireland.

These meditative visions take us through beautiful paths that can't be discovered without getting lost. For each event, a new line up of musicians is invited to improvise one soundtrack version. On the roof of Chimeres, the versatile guitarist Seb Martel (Paris) will meet cello player Thodoris Pistiolas (Athens) for a supreme improvisation.
Forest of Sound Takes place as part of the Big Bang Festival of experimental sound for children at the Onassis Cultural Centre, Athens, Greece
In Forest of Sound, visitors are invited to contemplate the sounds of the natural world beneath sculptural trees inspired by the oracle of Dodona, hung with various sounding objects: fruits, paper mache leaves, and everyday objects. Interaction with these objects will allow for the musical transformation of field recordings (a harmony of insects, birds, rustling leaves, rivers, dogs, bells, etc) gathered from diverse environments around the world. Following a musical performance by the artists, visitors will be invited to play and create sound worlds for themselves.
